About this nanny job

M-F: 2:45 - 6:45 (end time flexible, could go later if nanny desires) Do not apply if you are not interested in a set schedule part-time job. Looking for a nanny who is passionate about childcare and wants to nanny as a part-time career. This is a long-term job. The children have very different temperaments and it is our expectation that the nanny is adaptable to different personalities. The nanny will have superb judgement, a high level of energy, loving nature, watchful eye, and can safely care for the children outside of the home. We expect that the nanny is adept in providing an equal amount of care and compassion to each child, and in enforcing sensible discipline when needed. Until we get to know the nanny, childcare will be done primarily at the home, where both parents work. This is not a large space, so ability to entertain the kids at home, while the parents are working, is critical. As time progresses, child care will happen outside of the home. Job duties: -School pick up, taking to and from park, play dates, grandparents’ house, after school lessons and activities, etc. must have: Drivers’ license and safe car, clean driving record. -Cooking/Preparing dinner for the children, bathing, and preparing for bed time. -Packing lunches -Light clean up to include: putting away dishes/ loading wash; kitchen tidy/wipe down, children’s laundry if needed, toy/kids room pick up, backyard tidy up if playing outside -Open communication with the parents, reporting back after play dates and park experiences, etc Compensation: $25 / hour, option for payment through payroll -One (1) hour of paid sick time for every thirty (30) hours worked - $80 per day for nine federal holidays -gas mileage reimbursement -more detailed job and benefits description available to qualified applicants.
