About this nanny job

We are seeking a really special after school sitter! We have a 10 year old boy who is entering the 5th grade and needs an after-school sitter.  His beloved current sitter is moving upstate at the end of summer. His sitter is a unique, lovely, magical Art teacher.  Think GenZ Mary Poppins.  We're hoping to find another gem of a sitter!   Our son is a budding illustrator and spends lots of time drawing.  Finding someone who is an art-teacher or creatively inclined is important :) Other wonderful virtues we're looking for:  Responsible, reliable, punctual, patient, sweet, caring, and upbeat.  Resourceful and fun.  Also important is how you handle conflict resolution and navigate sticky situations.   Be imaginative - we do not rely on media and you should be engaged with our wonderful kiddo when you're together.  He loves to collaborate on art projects or draw while listening to music. Our son's school is in our neighborhood and close to Ft. Greene Park so there are lots of opportunities to hang in the park with friends after school.  He loves music, comics, bookstores, art supply shops, trips to City Point, snacks and hanging with friends. Our kiddo is allergic to tree nuts and cats.  It's likely OK if you have kitty, but no nut consumption around him :)
