About this nanny job

We are looking for a warm, organized, pro-active nanny for our twin 7 yo girls to care for them after-school from 4pm to 6:30pm and prepare dinner 4 nights/week (minimum of 10 hours). We expect to need a nanny for years to come and are looking for a commitment at least through the school year, but could be longer. Both parents work full-time, from home about half the time and in an office about half the time. As the kids get older and need less hands-on attention all the time, we are looking for a nanny who can take care of the kids but also help us with cooking and tidying up at home. The girls are happy and healthy soon to be 2nd graders who attend Rosemary Hills Elementary (through 2nd grade). They have very different personalities and need a nanny who is sensitive to balancing the needs and wants of two competing children at once. They do well academically and are learning to read. They don’t have homework in 2nd grade, although ensuring that the kids do their homework could become part of the job in 3rd grade. V loves horses, riding her bike, and make believe. R is the older sister (by 4 minutes), who loves gymnastics and piano. There is some flexibility and benefits that come with this role. The nanny is welcome to cook food for herself as well. If you would rather come over the weekend to prep food and then not come on the days when one of our grandmothers is available (1-2 days/week), that would work as an alternative schedule for the same pay. We offer paid federal holidays and 2 weeks paid vacation/year + week between Christmas and New Years. This job does not require driving although it helps to have a car to get to our house.
