About this nanny job

We’re looking for a private early-learning teacher for our 3 years and 2 months old son. Our family follows a mix of Reggio and Montessori philosophies, focusing on social-emotional growth, motor skills, and building self-motivation through play and exploration. Schedule: • Thursday mornings 9-12 pm We’d love someone experienced with preschool-age children who can create engaging, child-led activities at home. Degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education (ECE), Child Development, or Educational Psychology • Experience teaching or guiding toddlers/preschool-age children • Knowledge of Montessori or Reggio Emilia teaching philosophy • Strong understanding of social-emotional development and motor-skill learning • Ability to design hands-on, play-based, child-led activities • Patient, nurturing, and creative teaching style • CPR / First Aid certification • Clear communication and strong parent collaboration skills • Prior experience as a preschool teacher, early-learning tutor, or private educator is a plus Build social-emotional skills — e.g., sharing toys, taking turns, expressing feelings with words • Encourage positive communication and gentle manners during play • Strengthen fine and gross motor skills through hands-on activities (cutting, building, balancing, art) • Support independent thinking and self-driven motivation — following curiosity, finishing small tasks • Practice listening, following directions, and cooperative play • Develop early problem-solving and confidence through play and exploration • Foster a love of learning in a calm, nurturing environment We hope to find someone who can gently guide him through everyday experiences — helping him learn through play, stories, art, and nature, while following his pace and interests.
