Part Time, starting ASAP

Rogers Park
1 child: 1 year
$12/hr

Hi! We are looking for a new regular babysitter for two or three days per week in north East Rogers Park. My son is 15 months old - sweet, energetic, curious. Days will hopefully include lots of playtime - at home, at one of many nearby parks, or maybe the occasional field trip - and one longer nap in the afternoon (2+ hours). Hours are from 6:30 am - 4:30 PM. Days of week could be flexible, and the hours may shift a little depending on parent schedule. Minor housekeeping (really just cleaning up after whatever fun messes baby creates!) is expected. We live about a 6-8 minute walk from the Howard CTA station and parking on the block isn't too difficult. I am a teacher so we won't need care on school breaks and there may be occasional weeks where we don't need care at all. The ideal candidate will be professional, have childcare experience and/ or education, have a child-led-play philosophy, will consider him/herself a teacher, be flexible with time, and be a great communicator. I look forward to hearing from you!

Job includes:

  • Bathing
  • Bedtime Routine
  • Making meals
  • Feeding children

Deal sweeteners:

  • Parking is easy to find/available
