In Home Care for Sweet 10 yr old Autistic Boy We are in need of a special needs worker that can work with our beautiful son Anderson. Anderson is 10 years old, he is non-verbal and is still in pull-ups. As two working parents, we are in need of someone who can tend to his needs and is willing to get certified as a Direct Support Professional with our local Medicaid agency. The training is paid and the hours are paid through the agency. This is an awesome opportunity for a student pursuing a special needs degree. The schedule would be as follows: School Year (ending June 12th) Monday – Friday 7am – 8:30am (Bus comes at 8:24) and (Bus drops off at 4) 4pm-6pm Summer (Beginning June16th-30th) Monday - Friday 7am – 3pm Summer (Beginning July 1st to August 20th) Monday - Friday 7am-10am (including drop off at camp) 3pm-6pm (including pick up from camp) Summer (Beginning August 21st – September 3rd) Monday - Friday 7am – 3pm Weekends Flexible: Hours dependent on family activities, caregiver availability, and additional hours needed. The ideal candidate would have experience with special needs children. Be comfortable transporting (mileage reimbursed) Anderson to his school bus stop, summer camp, etc., as well as preparing meals and snacks. It is our hope that this person will keep Anderson's day fun and engaging, with lots of learning activities. Anderson is fast and strong, so we hope to find someone who will keep up with him. Anderson is a wonderful, affectionate, loving child, he makes us smile everyday!Nanny job details
