About this nanny job

Hello! We need a babysitter experienced/familiar with neurodivergent care who would enjoy child-led LARP-style play in fantasy genres (fairies, mermaids, princesses, unicorns, magic, witches, vampires, dragons, and more) with an 8 year old L2 (presenting as L1) autistic girl with ADHD. She also loves arts & crafts, swimming, outdoor play, swinging, dolls, etc. She has sensory issues with food, so Mom will provide snacks/prepared food/suggestions. Mom works from home & may be cleaning or working in the office if/when you are in the house, but once everyone is comfortable it is strongly encouraged to be outdoors as much as possible, especially since it's summer! The little one is very happy as long as she is engaged in play or other activities. She is sensitive to feeling rushed/pressured & will take some time to warm up in terms of touch, but overall she does beautifully with caregivers who understand her & are ready to play. She's bright & articulate, loves to read about fairies, mermaids and unicorns & is highly verbal but can be quiet when around new people or advocating for her own needs. She must be reminded to eat & drink, as sometimes she forgets. Caregivers need to be mindful of sun exposure, since she is very fair-skinned, so seek shade and take breaks from direct sunlight.
