Now Hiring: After-School Co-Teacher for Private Learning Pod (Grades 2–4) Location: Oakland, CA Start Date: August 2025 Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 2:50 PM – 6:00 PM Wednesday: 1:25 PM – 5:30 PM Contract Length: August–May (9 months) Are you an experienced, reliable, and caring educator looking to work in a small, supportive environment? We're seeking a Co-Teacher to join our private after-school learning pod of 9 children, ranging from 2nd to 4th grade. You will be working alongside the lead educator (pod owner) to provide daily care, support academic growth, and create a safe and joyful space for our kids. Responsibilities: Supervise and engage with children during after-school hours Provide homework support and light academic enrichment Prepare and serve snacks Collaborate with the lead teacher to support the daily rhythm and flow Maintain a positive, respectful, and structured environment Requirements: Minimum 6 years of professional childcare experience (nannying, teaching, tutoring, camps, or similar) Must be available every weekday from August through May Passion for working with children and supporting their academic and social development Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills Must be reliable, punctual, and a team player Compensation: Hourly rate to be discussed during interview This is a unique opportunity to join a well-established pod and help shape a meaningful after-school experience for a small group of amazing kids.
