About this nanny job
Hi everyone! We’re a local family based on the San Anselmo/San Rafael border and are looking for a warm, reliable nanny to care for our daughter, who is just about to turn 2. We recently moved back to Marin from Austin, TX. I (mom) am native to the area and thrilled to be home. As we get settled, we’re looking for an amazing nanny to help care for our daughter during this transition. Our incredible full-time nanny—who’s truly become part of our family—helped us transition to Marin, but she’ll be returning to Austin soon. As a mom who was a nanny myself, I know how important it is to find the right fit. We’re hoping to find someone warm, engaging, and reliable to step into her shoes and become part of our family’s rhythm. This role will begin as full-time temporary coverage and if you’re ipen to It, transition into a part-time position (16–25 hrs/week; we’ll know more once weve selected a program) once she starts a toddler program. If you’re looking for something short-term or full time only, that’s totally fine, but if you’re open to staying on part-time afterward, even better! Start Date: ASAP - ideally next week Temp Schedule: • Mon–Thurs: 8:00am–4:00pm • Friday: 8:00am–1:30pm Hours: 37.5 hours/week (temp) Pay: $31/hour Location: San Anselmo (San Rafael border) We’re looking for someone who: - Has experience with toddlers (1.5–3 years) - Is CPR certified - Drives and has a reliable car for outings (library, music class, parks, etc.) Mileage reimbursed - Is engaging, kind, and confident planning fun, age-appropriate activities - Can help with light housekeeping - our daughter’s laundry, tidying toys, and loading/unloading the dishwasher - Is open to occasional date nights or weekend coverage - Has strong English fluency to ensure clear communication around safety, allergy protocols, and our daughter’s language development. (Bilingual caregivers are absolutely welcome)! Important: Our daughter has a severe peanut and tree nut allergy, so we need someone who understands, or is willing to learn about cross-contamination, allergy safety, and emergency response (including EpiPen use). We’ll provide all the training needed. Bonus if yoi have experience withh severe food allergies. If this sounds like a fit, we’d love to connect and set up a paid trial so you can meet our daughter!Nanny job details
