About this nanny job

We’re a young, growing family living in Carlsbad, CA. Our home includes our 2-year-old daughter, a sweet Golden Retriever, & a baby boy due this November. Dad works from home with occasional travel, & Mom is currently providing full-time child care. As we prepare for this next chapter, we’re looking for a reliable, & organized Household Manager to support our home life 2 days per week (~16 hours). This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys creating order, anticipates needs before they're spoken, & thrives in a dynamic family environment. You’ll help keep our home running smoothly so we can prioritize time together as a family. Weekly Responsibilities: Meal Planning & Prep: Collaborate with Mom on weekly meals, grocery shop, & prep simple meals/snacks. Errands: Handle returns, donation drop-offs, & coordinate services like car detailing or upholstery cleaning. Household Tidying: Keep common areas clean, dishes done, toys picked up, & laundry washed, folded, & put away. Organizing: Maintain order in closets, toys, linens, & household items. Outdoor Space: Tidy the backyard & outdoor play areas. Monthly Responsibilities: Inventory Management: Monitor & restock household supplies. Seasonal Rotation: Swap out seasonal clothing or decor. Deep Cleaning: Clean strollers, car seats, & occasionally help with light pet care (e.g., grooming appointments, short walks). As Needed: Guest Prep: Ready guest spaces with fresh linens and thoughtful touches. Event Support: Help Mom plan or prepare for small gatherings. Childcare: Occasionally step in to watch our daughter during appointments. Ideal Candidate: You’re warm, intuitive, detail-oriented, & a great communicator. You’re someone who can read the rhythm of a household—knowing when to offer support & when to give space. Experience in a similar role is preferred, & comfort with young children and dogs is important. Most of all, we’re looking for someone who feels like part of the family—a trusted, calm, & supportive presence. Requirements: Must live locally in North County San Diego Must have a reliable car & valid driver’s license Must pass a background & fingerprint check Compensation: Starting at $25/hour, with potential increase based on experience.
