Part-Time Childcare Provider for 2.5-Year-Old Girl We are seeking a warm, experienced childcare provider to care for our 2.5-year-old daughter during weekday hours. We value respectful, mindful caregiving based on well-researched developmental approaches. We are excited to find the right fit for our family! Let me know if you think you are a fit! The basics: We're seeking someone who genuinely connects with our parenting philosophy and understands that building trust and attachment with our girl will take time. We are ok with a gradual approach to introducing you into the role. We are not offering full-time work but rather 3-4 hour caregiving sessions a couple of times a week. This would be sometime between 8-12 and/or 2-5. We have a lot of flexibility to work with your schedule so let us know what works for you! Things we would love for you to have: Philosophical Alignment Familiarity with RIE (Resources for Infant Educarers) principles as taught by Magda Gerber and Janet Lansbury Understanding of respectful parenting approaches that honor children as capable individuals Knowledge of attachment theory and developmental approaches found in resources like "Rest, Play, Grow" by Dr. Deborah MacNamara Appreciation for allowing children to develop naturally through uninterrupted play and exploration What we would love to see while you are caregiving: Ability to be fully present and engaged with our daughter and let her take the lead on play Technology-free caregiving Patience with the natural process of relationship-building between caregiver and child Emotional support during challenging moments without rushing to "fix" feelings Logistics Care provided in our home while parents work nearby. There are also numerous playgrounds within walking distance. We want her to get out of the house but will work up to that. Parking available Need to be able to speak English fluently. We love languages and it is a plus if you can teach her your own native tongue. We deeply respect how important caregiving is and know it can be challenging.
