Part-Time Christ-Centered Sitter Needed (9–3, 2–3 Days/Week, Flex Days) We are a Christ-centered family in Washington, DC, prayerfully seeking a very dependable, joyful part-time sitter to care for our two children—our 5-year-old son and our 2-year-old daughter with Down syndrome—2–3 days per week (typically Mon–Fri, 9 AM–3 PM), with flexibility in scheduling and start date around July 14. Compensation starts at $20/hour, based on experience and qualifications This position is temporary for now as we confirm schooling plans for our children in September, though we welcome someone open to journeying with us in this transitional season. We are looking for someone who walks closely with the Lord Jesus, genuinely loves children, and will care for ours with patience, trust, warmth, and joy. You’ll be supporting our son through a mix of structured learning activities and free play. He is imaginative, loves music, and thrives with consistency and gentle guidance. Our daughter delights in movement, sensory play, and laughter. She enjoys time on the floor and hands-on toddler activities that help her explore the world around her. We value someone who is flexible, kind-hearted, and open to occasionally working with a parent present—either working from home or transitioning between work and home life. Clear communication, a gentle spirit, reliability, and integrity are deeply appreciated. Light household responsibilities will include keeping common areas tidy, preparing and feeding simple meals for the children, loading/unloading dishes and putting them away, and doing light laundry. This support helps keep the home running smoothly and allows more focused time for the children. We’re a warm, intentional household rooted in faith, structure, and love.
