Part-Time Weekend Babysitter Needed (Ventura - 93001) Hi there! We’re looking for a warm, playful sitter to help care for our 16-month-old on weekends while one parent is away at work and the other works from home in a separate room. 📍 Location: Ventura, CA (93001) 👶 Age: 16 months 📅 Schedule: Various shifts on weekend days (varies, but we know the schedule 4 weeks ahead) 🕒 Timeframes: - Our biggest need is mornings between 7:00–9:30 AM. A later start could work, but the full window would be ideal. Roughly 4 of these shifts per month. - Occasional need: 11:30 AM–3:00 PM. Roughly 1 of these shifts per month. - Least frequent need: 4:00–7:00 PM. Roughly 0-1 of these shifts per month. For all of these shifts, we’re flexible on the exact start and end times within these periods, but the full window/shift would be preferred for all of the shifts. This is probably up to a 15-20 hour per month gig. What We’re Looking For - We’d love someone who: - Can engage in playtime and general supervision - Feeds meals and handles diaper changes (meals will be prepped ahead of time) - Is warm, reliable, and patient - Respects our screen-free policy when interacting with the baby - Is comfortable with a parent working from home during shifts We’d prefer to find someone consistent, but are open to a small roster of sitters if needed. Requirements - Prior babysitting experience (high school or college students welcome!) - References Nice-to-Haves, but Not Required - CPR/First Aid certified Other Details - Pay: $23.50/hour - Payment via Venmo preferred (Zelle OK, cash if necessary) - We are looking to fill this position potentially as soon as the weekend of July 26th. Our child is very playful and loves interaction. We enjoy reading books, playing outside in the backyard, exploring toys together, etc.. They may take a minute to warm up but quickly become comfortable with new people.
