About this nanny job

We are looking for a part-time nanny / sitter for our two children starting the first week in September for the 2025-2026 school year. 10 hours weekly, $250 a week guaranteed, even on days we’re home early or happen to be working from home. Extra hours as-needed for no-school days etc will be an additional $25/hr. We’re a young and active family of four in Sunset Park / Greenwood Heights looking for a compassionate caretaker of two girls ages 10 (5th grade) and 12 (7th grade). Hours will be consistent 5:30pm - 7:00pm each weekday with one later night per week to 9:30pm. Ideally also able to cover no school days including PT conference half days. There is an opportunity for additional hours during the week with our work travel or other related work events and commitments- but we’ll always give you ample notice and are happy to make other arrangements if ho Our younger daughter will need to be picked up from PS32 in Carroll Gardens / Gowanus and brought back home or occasionally to an after-school activity. Our older daughter will come home on her own from after-school programs. We’re looking for someone who will actively engage with them, help with homework at the 5th and 7th grade level and prepare meals. Someone who enjoys cooking (for kids) is preferred.
