After-School Nanny Needed for 3-Year-Old in Oakland We’re seeking a caring, responsible, English-speaking nanny to provide after-school care for our 3-year-old daughter in Oakland. Ideally, we’d love to begin with a trial period in early August. Once the OUSD school year begins on August 11th, we’ll need consistent support Monday through Friday from approximately 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, continuing through the end of the school year in May 2026—and potentially beyond. Key Responsibilities Pick up from preschool and safely drive home for rest/nap time (Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required) Engage our daughter in age-appropriate activities like reading, creative play, neighborhood walks, park or library visits Prepare and serve healthy snacks Light clean-up related to meals and play Create a nurturing and supportive environment Qualifications Experience working with preschool-aged children CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to obtain) Reliable, punctual, and communicative Non-smoker Comfortable around pets (we don’t currently have any) We’re looking for someone who truly enjoys spending time with young children and can build a warm, trusting relationship with our family.
