About this nanny job

We’re looking for a warm, reliable, and experienced nanny to care for our infant son, Pierce, in our home. Pierce is 8 months old and a sweet, gentle, curious baby who benefits most from one-on-one care in a calm, supportive environment. Due to ongoing health needs, we’re considering transitioning from daycare to in-home care, especially during cold and flu season, and are hoping to find someone who can help support his feeding, rest, and development with patience and attention. Pierce has had some feeding challenges related to reflux and possible food sensitivities. He is currently on medication (Nexium), which helps manage symptoms but also impacts his immune system and gut flora. We are closely monitoring his tolerance for solids and working with his doctors and specialists to introduce foods slowly and safely. Because of these sensitivities, we’re looking for someone who can be thoughtful and meticulous with feeding routines, willing to learn about dietary precautions, and communicative about any changes or observations throughout the day. He’s a light sleeper and naps best in a quiet, peaceful setting. We’re looking for someone who can follow his cues, help him settle, and maintain a consistent nap routine. Pierce is typically happy and engaged when he feels well, and he enjoys gentle play, songs, books, and interaction with his caregivers. He thrives when someone is attuned to his signals and willing to be present with him. We’re hoping to find someone with: • Infant care experience, ideally including babies with reflux, feeding difficulties, or food allergies/intolerances • A calm, grounded demeanor and an intuitive, baby-led caregiving style • A strong understanding of safe sleep and infant development • CPR/first aid certification • A clean background check and strong references • Commitment to hygiene and illness prevention (especially during cold/flu season) We are a fragrance-free household due to sensitivities, so we’re asking that you avoid scented products while working with us. Light baby-related tidying (washing bottles, cleaning up after meals, etc.) is appreciated. We’re flexible on the exact schedule and open to both full-time and part-time arrangements, depending on fit.
