About this nanny job

We are a warm, two-mom family of five seeking a reliable and caring part-time household assistant and after-school sitter to support our vibrant and busy household. Our three children range from toddler to elementary age, and we’re looking for someone who enjoys both home organization and meaningful time with kids. Start date: late Sept (flexible). 📍 Durham, NC Schedule: Mon & Thurs: 9am–2pm (household tasks) Tues & Fri: 2:30–5pm (afterschool care) Biweekly Sat: 6-10pm (date night) Responsibilities: 🧺 Family Assistant Tasks (Mondays & Thursdays): Laundry (washing, drying, folding) Dishes General tidying (kitchen, foyer, living/playroom) Meal prep: dinner, school lunches, and snacks Organizing and decluttering projects, including the pantry, fridge, laundry room Running local errands and tracking household supply needs (likely includes grocery shopping) Updating family calendar monthly, listing out reminders 🎒 Afterschool Sitter Duties (Tuesdays & Fridays): Pickups or support during after-school transition Prepping snacks and encouraging non-screen play 30 minutes of reading support and engagement Tidying play/living area General care: diaper changes for toddler Date night Duties (biweekly Sat): Engage in non-screen play/activities Facilitate bedtime routine The ideal candidate is reliable, warm, organized, communicative, has childcare experience, and has a car. We are hoping to find someone who can become a trusted part of our family’s rhythm and who brings a positive, can-do attitude to their work.
