Loving Caretaker Needed For Sweet Developmentally Disabled 9-year Old Girl - Start Date Flexible Seeking part-time, live out caretaker for sweet 9 year old developmentally disabled girl starting ASAP in Bethesda, MD. You MUST enjoy music and be incredibly patient. Non-negotiable hours needed are 3pm-7 p.m. Mon-Fri (20 hours/week), with flexibility to stay late or work extra hours on occasion (in particular, when MCPS is closed). Ideal candidate will have experience working with developmentally disabled and be comfortable participating in clinical appointments. Can also offer 8-10 hours/day on Sat/Sun if more hours are desired. Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs. Must be affectionate, fun-loving, honest, and reliable. Must read, write, and speak English proficiently. Duties include: pick-up from school, transportation to after-school therapies, dinner & laundry for child. Must be comfortable around dogs. Preference may be given to someone interested in long-term position. If willing to work weekends can get close to if not full time hours. Who needs care 1 child, 9 years old Ideal caregiver qualities include: -Comfortable with family-friendly dogs -Ideally CPR / First Aid trained -MUST have a reliable car (van is provided for job duties, but you must be an insured driver with a clean driving record) -Non-smoker Job starts: ASAP - you will be training with our current caretaker who is moving back to her home country; you would need to fully take over duties by mid-October.
