About this nanny job

We are two families in Santa Monica who are seeking a full time nanny (minimum 40 hours/week) to care for two seven month old infants, starting June 3, 2024 for a minimum of 6 months. The nanny will work out of both houses, which are located about a 10 minute drive apart. We are seeking someone with a minimum of three years childcare experience, ideally has nanny experience caring for multiple infants at once. We will require references from at least two other families who have worked with you before. The ideal candidate is someone who genuinely enjoys working with infants, and who will be very present with the babies when they are awake. We are looking for someone creative, who has ideas about engaging our kids in developmentally appropriate activities. Guaranteed paid vacation, paid sick time, and 40 hours a week of steady work, even if we are out of town, sick etc. Job includes some pick up/drop off of babies between families, so must own a car/be willing to drive. General hours would be around 8:30am to 4:30pm, though may vary slightly day to day. Requirements: -Minimum two reference for recent families -Fully vaccinated (covid, flu, tdap) -Infant CPR certified -Can communicate in English -Preferred: drivers license with no record and car -Must be timely, reliable, and dependable -Years of prior experience with babies less than 9 months old Responsibilities: -Fulltime care of two infants -Feeding, including bottle feeding with formula and breastmilk, and eventually solid foods -Putting down infants for naps -Playing inside, taking babies for walks, library, visiting parks, possibly to classes such as music, swim etc -If time, doing cleaning tasks related to baby care i.e. cleaning bottles, pump parts, and infants’ laundry -assisting with driving babies; assisting with pick ups/drop offs in morning/evening Notes: -at least 1 (sometimes 2) parent(s) will be WFH every day. -on occasion, 1 or both parent(s) will take one baby during lunch break for ~1 hour
