About this nanny job

Hello! My husband and I live in Newcastle with one son who is needing care during the weekdays (M-F). He is 2 years old and is shy and quiet on first impression but then turns into the absolutely giggliest kid. We both work hybrid, full time schedules - most frequently working from home Monday and Friday. We have separate office spaces in our home and won’t be in the main living area. We both can be a bit flexible with our schedules but looking for a long-term nanny to watch Leo through the core hours of the day. Our son has autism and developmental delays as a result of a genetic duplication. We’re not sure how this will present in the future but for now he has low motor development (he can sit up and move around a bit but is not fully mobile) and some sensory sensitivity (he looks real cute in sunglasses.) He is currently attending preschool with Kindering M-Th and we would need someone who can pick him up/drop him off most days. We would love to find a caregiver who is passionate about learning to care for kids with special needs and we will provide ample training opportunities to do so. Rate: $30+ based on experience Method of payment: Zelle or check Hours: Baseline of 34 hours a week (M/W/F 8:30-4:00, Tu/Th 10-4:00) + additional for date nights if available Pets: We have two dogs, a Samoyed and Australian Shepherd. They have lots of energy (with a big backyard to run it off in) and are very friendly. Caregiver benefits: *These are our planned benefits, if certain benefits provide more value to you than others we’re happy to tailor this.* Vacation: Two weeks of vacation, one the Nanny’s choice, one ours (Increased to three weeks after a year-long employment) Sick leave: 10 days/year Health Stipend: $50/month, $100/month after a year-long employment Caregiver safety: Vaccination: We’re all fully vaccinated - looking for a caregiver with current Flu Shot, Tdap, and COVID. CPR and First Aid trainings: This is a must for us and we prefer a candidate who is already certified. If not, family can cover the cost of CPR training. Responsible driving record: We understand Nannies drive a lot and a driving record is hard to keep perfectly clean. We expect you to not have a history of reckless driving and to be able to safely transport our kid (car seat provided).
