About this nanny job

We are looking for an experienced, kind, and patient nanny to care for our 13-month old daughter. Our daughter is shy with new people and can take a moment to get comfortable in new situations. Once comfortable, she is a very happy, active, and smiley girl! We are seeking someone who can keep her safe, encourage her curiosity and play, prepare healthy meals for her, help get her down for naps (she is currently still on 2 naps per day), and generally foster her continued development. Our emphasis is on finding someone who is willing to follow her lead and who is thus patient, engaging, and a calm and steady presence. My husband and I both work from home part time, so it is likely that one of us will be home at all times (in our office with the door closed). Our ideal candidate would speak Mandarin in addition to English. We have a dog (60 lbs) who spends her days at home. While the nanny will not be responsible for any dog care, they must be comfortable around and with our dog (who is very friendly!)
