Hi there, We are seeking someone equal parts silly and secure to help create fun memories with our toddlers roughly 8-10 hours a week, mostly Monday and Friday afternoons. Me and my husband work from home with the little ones in part time daycare. Unfortunately, that leaves a gap in coverage and those afternoons usually consist of a bag of goldfish and a Disney double feature. We don’t want them stuck inside with us while our eyes glaze over at boring adult stuff. That’s where you come in! You get to adventure and play with the two best people we know, while we’re stuck at our desks. Take them on field trips to the pool/beach, the park, an open field to blow bubbles in, you can even just push their wagon around and look at squirrels in the neighborhood. Even on rainy days you can go to their favorite play cafe, or just make yourself at home with baking, crafts or puzzles. That’s the main gig- keep them safe and happy. Any extra chores or daycare pickups or drop offs are just a bonus. Now the boring admin stuff… We are looking to pay in the $18-$22 an hour range. Requesting reliable transportation and a good driving record. Forewarning: that in addition to the 2 kids, we have 2 cats and 2 dogs so you will accumulate pet hair on your clothes! Our start date is flexible as is our end date, we are hoping for coverage at least to the fall, brownie points if you can get me through my fall coaching season, and the whole dang cake if we can keep you “for til college”. We are seeking a mutually beneficial arrangement founded in communication and flexibility. We tend to maintain a pretty packed schedule and sometimes between mommy, daddy and their village; we just don’t have the coverage we need. We’re hoping to bring someone into our kids lives that they can build a loving relationship with and we can add you into the rotation for the occasional date night or overlapping gym or hobby schedule.
