Family in the San Roque neighborhood of Santa Barbara is seeking a TEMPORARY FULL-TIME NANNY/FAMILY ASSISTANT to care for their two children, ages 2 years and 5 months. This position begins early September 2025 and will run through January 2026 (with potential for slight flexibility). The family is looking for a warm, energetic, and experienced nanny professional who loves working with young children. Someone proactive, organized, and reliable will thrive in this role. The family has a friendly dog and cat, so comfort with pets is essential. Pay is $30–$32/hour depending on experience. A personal vehicle is required for outings (mileage reimbursed). Duties include: - Preparing and feeding children’s meals and bottles - Diapering, bathing, and supporting hygiene routines - Maintaining a clean and safe environment for the children - Cleaning and organizing toys, rooms, and children's equipment - Planning and engaging in age-appropriate educational and creative activities - Scheduling naps and promoting positive behavior and routine - Transporting children to school, local activities and outings (with mileage reimbursement) - Light family assistant support, including child-related laundry, occasional errands and tidying - Maintaining a zero screen time policy during care hours The ideal candidate has: - At least 3+ years of experience as a professional nanny - Experience working with toddlers and infants, particularly in a nurturing and engaging manner - Experience in creative play, such as arts and crafts, music, and outdoor activities - Infant/child CPR and First Aid Certified - Up-to-date vaccinations
