About this babysitting job
We need someone to keep our bouncy nine-year-old entertained. Kit (they/them) is sweet and friendly, very energetic, and stubborn as all get out. They're sometimes nonverbal and need a little assistance with using the bathroom. Kit is autistic and has ADHD. Experience with special needs kids is helpful. What's most important is that you be willing to set firm, clear boundaries in a calm and supportive way. Lots of outdoor time is ideal. We can share Brooklyn Children's Museum, Brooklyn Botanic Gardens, and Complete Playground membership info, or you can play at the playground or go to a library. Favorite indoor activities are art, reading, and playing dress-up. No homework and no screen time. Kit has three parents: Chris, Josh, and Asher. At least one parent will be home all day. We have a cat; please let us know if you are allergic. Please do not wear perfume/cologne, as Asher has a scent allergy. Our apartment is up two flights of stairs. We are all fully vaccinated. Please only apply if you are fully vaccinated. We ask that you take a rapid test in the morning before coming to babysit. We can supply a test if you don't have one.Babysitting job details
