Hi all, my name is Mika! I am 28, and I've been babysitting/nannying all ages for the last 10+ years. Starting in my teen years I babysat regularly and since ventured into all different types of childcare related work; various preschools, summer camps with 25+ kids on my hands, teaching swim, and full time nannying. I have experience with children that have neuro/physical disabilities and have worked with every phase from newborn to preteen - I'm prepared and excited to take on anything! I have just moved from - a short lived time in - Seattle, back to SF. Prior to Seattle I was living and nannying in SF (my hometown) for a couple years. I worked full-time with a wonderful family for just around 2 years - child was a young infant when I started and just over 2 when they no longer needed care. Just before moving to SF I was living in Providence, RI., where I was working for an awesome family who I was with for over 2.5 years and through the pandemic. My (ex) boss, Emily Oster, is an amazing author (amongst many other things) if you haven't checked out her work I highly suggest you do. I have my associates in Early Childhood Education, and was only a couple semesters from my Bachelors in Psychology in Rhode Island, when my brother passed away bringing me back home to SF. I plan to finish up my degree relatively soon and move onto a physical therapy program. I'm passionate about fostering healthy development while creating a fun and loving environment with babies/children. I value working with families as a team and am flexible, punctual, ambitious, caring, worldly (dual citizen US & SWE), creative (I went to an arts school for 9 years), warm, and eager to meet you and your little/s soon!
