🌸 Hi there! Thank you for taking the time to read about us and our somewhat different need. We’re seeking a live-in (West Rogers Park), part time arrangement, for the right person. Ideal for a college student or retiree. If you’re a single mother, we have room for 1 child as well. I’d like to mention the start date is somewhat flexible, and our kids will be in either school or summer camp during the day, with the exception of closings. We’d need help Mon - Fri getting the kids up at 7:30 or 8am (depending on whether it’s summer camp or school) and ready, then taking them to day camp/school. School is a 5 minute walk and daycare is a 15 minute walk from our home. Later, pick up from school at 3:40pm, then typically off by 6:30pm. Husband gets home around 5pm currently and I work 2nd shift currently and home around midnight, although my shift does vary. Midday or evening help that we need is weekly meal plans (I can grocery shop), cook family dinner maybe 4 nights a week, light housekeeping, tidying, organizing. We can work out a set schedule for clearer understanding, but in general, actual working hours would be split morning/evening and wouldn’t exceed 24 hours per week, aside from occasional weekend hours that we’d try to discuss ahead of time. We have an 8 year old daughter and are also a foster home, currently with 1 foster daughter who’s 6, with potential to be joined by 1 - 3 more foster children 12 years old or younger. It is important to us that we provide as much stability as possible for the kids, therefore when we receive a call, we take great care in thinking about what our household is capable of, their needs, and if we’re the right fit for each other. Most importantly, we’re seeking someone trustworthy who is patient and kind, yet firm and consistent.
