We need a kind and reliable person to help care for our 26-month-old son Oliver. We are looking for help on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoons from 4:00pm to 6:00pm (you can come earlier if needed). Both parents work full-time jobs, but one parent will usually be home when you arrive or will come home during your work time. We are trying this job for two months first, and if it works well, we would like to continue working together for a long time. Oliver goes to a Spanish daycare during the day. He is curious and active, and he likes to play and learn new things. Right now Oliver only wants to eat plain foods like bread and pasta, but we want to help him try healthy vegetables too. If you have experience helping children eat new foods, that would be great. Our family speaks English and German at home (mom is from Germany), and Oliver learns Spanish at school. If you speak German or Spanish, we would be very happy, but English is fine too. We have two cats in our home. Your job includes: prepare dinner for Oliver (and sometimes for the family), clean up the kitchen after meals, keep the living room and Oliver's bedroom tidy, make Oliver's lunch and pack his school bag for the next day, walk with Oliver to pick him up from daycare (15 minutes away), help Oliver eat dinner and play simple games or sing songs, clean up after dinner and playtime. Once per week you will also: clean the cat boxes, take out garbage and diaper trash, fold clean laundry. We live in the Mission area of San Francisco. You can park on the street or take public transportation. We will pay you once per week using Zelle.
