Seeking Joyful and Energetic Part-Time Babysitter near West Side Ave Light Rail Station! Hi- I’m a mom about to go back to work full-time in the next month. Sitter/nanny will need to be available 3-4 days a week in the M-F range (have some flexibility to discuss which days) with ability to begin in the mornings at 7am and/or stay until 6/7pm on some days. Parents are separated and share parenting time- you’ll be working for only mom and only at mom’s house. Dad picks up and drops off there on his days. Mom will be commuting to the city for work so morning timeliness will be crucial. Main responsibility is caring for sweet 3 year old boy and keeping him entertained and occupied. May include outings to the park, local libraries, and some classes. Plenty of books, toys, and art supplies at home as well, and some building commons spaces/courtyard to utilize. An informally educational method would be appreciated. We have made the decision to hold off on school for now and keep him with a 1-1 caregiver as he adjusts to parents’ separation but he is very bright and knows letters and numbers, etc. Would love to hire someone who wants to foster his desire to learn. Other Qualifications: -Patient. We are dealing with some big emotions lately. -LOVES children. I don’t care if you’ve finished your bachelors degree or not, have less than 5 years experience, etc. I just want you to love my child like your own and delight in spending time with him. -Energetic. Must be able to chase, play with, and generally keep up with a boy who is bursting with energy. -Comfortable with walking up to 1 mile and also taking the light rail. We love our building but it’s a bit remote. Activities and outings will require some simple commuting, which the child is very used to. -CPR/First Aid is a bonus. We can also discuss me reimbursing you for taking a course. -I will not require you to provide any personal health information or records. That is not my business. -1-2 references who’ve children you have worked with in the past would be appreciated.
