About this nanny job

We're a Brooklyn family based in Carroll Gardens with two daughters (3 months and 3 years) looking for an amazing childcare provider to help during our afternoon/evening routine. This is a hybrid role - part childcare, part household management - perfect for someone who likes variety in their day. 3-7pm Mon-Fri, with flexibility for the right person. The role includes: - Helping with pickup and evening activities - Baby care (including contact naps in a carrier - our 3-month-old is a cuddle bug) - Dinner & lunchbox prep and kitchen cleanup - Light household tasks (kids' laundry, tidying) About us: We love working with the absolute best people and value long-term relationships and being a great family to work with. Our three previous sitters started when our oldest was a baby - we're still close with all of them and each works with 5-10 other families we referred them to. Dad works in tech with a new demanding role and long commute and mom works part-time from home. Our 3-month-old is so sweet and smiley; our 3-year-old is bright, verbal, funny, and loves babysitters. (She is in daycare full-time.) Evenings can be hectic with the baby's witching hour and the toddler adjusting to the new routine, which is why we're looking for an extra pair of hands! We also have one friendly cat. We're looking for someone who: - Is comfortable with both infant and toddler care - Is flexible and open to helping with some household tasks (cooking is a plus!) - Communicates really well Schedule Flexibility: While 3-7 M-F is our core need, we're prioritizing finding the right person over rigid hours. If you need to adjust these times some days, or can't do all 5 days per week, or you're looking for additional morning or weekend hours, we're open to that conversation!
