About this nanny job

Hi there - my family and I are looking for a part time caregiver for our two year old son. We may be adding another child in the next year, so experience with a newborn is ideal. We are looking for someone who can help us in the afternoons, through bedtime, and sometimes stay later so we can go out. We are happy to have a fixed schedule but are also open to hiring a student who has afternoons/evenings available during the week. We would also add additional babysitting on the weekends as needed/based on your availability. We are looking for someone who can engage our loving, playful, curious son in art projects, outdoor exploring, and games. We would primarily expect you to play with him at home or take him in his stroller to the playground about three blocks away. We would love to hire someone who speaks German, as our son is bilingual, but it is not a requirement. Duties: - playing with/caring for our son - light cleaning (putting away toys in his play area, room, and cleaning up the kitchen after his meals) - his laundry - meal prep (we would love to have you cook meals for us for about 5 of the hours. You would not be expected to care for our son at the same time as you cook, either I or his grandparents would care for him during this time). We are willing to pay competitive Bay Area rates for the right person. We would like three references.
