I’m with Allies for Allies, an approved UrbanSitter partner, and we’re helping a family in San Jose who is seeking a patient, reliable, and understanding male companion to support their adult son, who is navigating greater independence while living in a supported apartment community. He’s a bright, verbal young adult who manages his own daily care and household tasks but would greatly benefit from consistent companionship and gentle encouragement to engage in his community. The ideal companion will enjoy meaningful conversation, outings to local coffee shops or parks, and helping foster social connections through shared activities and light home organization. A background in psychology, behavioral health, or experience supporting neurodivergent individuals is preferred. Patience, empathy, and a calm demeanor are essential. Reliable transportation is required for local outings and errands.
