Seeking Afternoon Family Assistant Part-childcare, part household help About Us We’re a busy Moraga family seeking a warm, reliable, organized person to join our household part-time. We have two children — one talkative toddler and a 6-month old — and are looking for someone to support our after-school/after-work hours by helping with the kids and taking care of light household tasks to keep things running smoothly. Some days one of us will be at home wrapping up work, other days both of us will be commuting home.   Schedule * Monday through Thursday * 4:30 pm to 7:00 pm (2.5 hours each day) * Care begins with the children for approximately the first hour to hour and a half (until roughly 5:30–6:00pm) * After that, the focus shifts to household tasks until 7:00pm   Responsibilities Childcare (first ~1–1.5 hours): * Supervise and engage both children (one toddler, one infant) * Baby is often napping during much of this time, so some of the initial shift will involve monitoring/resting the baby while interacting with the toddler * Assist with snack or light dinner prep/serving for the toddler as needed (will have premade food) * Help with cleanup after snack/dinner time (e.g., clearing plates, wiping table) Household Support (remainder of the shift): * Unload and reload the dishwasher * Run a load of laundry (wash, dry, fold) * Tidy toys, counters, living areas — maintain a neat & organized space * Occasional light meal-prep (e.g., chopping vegetables and using machine to puree) or other light organizational tasks * Maintain good communication with parents about what’s been done and any needs
  Preferred Qualifications * Experience caring for children (experience with both toddler and infant is a plus). * Comfortable with light household duties and willing to jump in where needed. * Organized, proactive, trustworthy, and able to work independently once routine is established. * Ability to work the same schedule consistently each week; consistency is important for our family. If 3 days a week is the most you can do, please still apply. * CPR/First Aid certified preferred (or willing to obtain). * References required.
