Shorewood family seeks kind, reliable nanny for one imaginative 6-year-old, Mon–Wed afternoons. We’re a creative, kind family of three living near Lake Bluff Elementary in Shorewood. Our daughter loves art, dance, and storytelling. We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with young kids, can bring calm and structure to the afternoon, and values open communication. Schedule: Mondays and Tuesdays - 3:15–6:00 p.m. Wednesdays - 2:15 - 5:30 p.m. (occasional flexibility until 6:00 p.m.) About the Role: • Pick up our daughter from school (3:25 p.m. (Mon/Tues) and 2:25 (Wed) • Provide a healthy snack and guide relaxed, creative play — reading, drawing, music, or outdoor time when weather allows. • Keep her routine smooth: tidy toys/snack area, help start dinner if time allows. • Communicate clearly with parents and maintain a positive, dependable presence. About You: You’re warm, patient, and reliable. You genuinely enjoy engaging with children ages 4–7 and can balance playfulness with gentle boundaries. You’re punctual, safety-minded, and take pride in helping a family’s afternoons run smoothly. Requirements: • Prior childcare experience (ages 4–7 preferred) • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and clean driving record • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) • Comfort with cats (we have two friendly kittens) • Consistent availability and clear communication Compensation & Details: • $20–$25/hour, depending on experience • Paid weekly via direct deposit through payroll (for dependent care FSA reimbursement) • Mileage reimbursed for school pickup if applicable • Ideal start: mid-November 2025 (flexible) If you find joy in helping a child unwind after school and want a steady, respectful part-time position with a kind family, we’d love to meet you.
