Looking for Nanny in San Anselmo (Marin)! -- Dec/Jan start, 2yo girl, 5 days/week Looking for a nanny in the San Anselmo - Marin area starting at the beginning of December or beginning of Jan for our daughter Dea, who is 2yo. Competitive pay, 36 hours a week guaranteed, plus generous vacation/sick day rights. Ideal Schedule: Mon-Fri between 6:50am and 2:50pm Period of Contract: December 2025 through September 2026, with possible extension through May 2028 (for the right candidate). The nanny: We're looking for a nanny who comes with stellar references, has excellent communication skills, is gentle and loving, is a sturdy leader, is active and loves getting on the floor with the kids. Our ideal candidate is a confident and kind individual who is committed to raising children who feel loved and supported. Vaccinated, First Aid and CPR trained, and comfortable with medium dog in our home. Main Duties: * Create a safe, fun, and caring environment, including playing games, singing songs, and reading stories to the child * Ensure that child eats meals and snacks regularly * Change child’s diapers and clothes as frequently as needed * Take child to town activities like the park, the library, music classes, etc * Include child in real life activities for the child to participate in like folding laundry, washing dishes, cleaning her room * Maintain a tidy space for the child, including cleaning snack areas, organizing the playroom, and putting soiled clothes in the hamper * Put child down for naps when appropriate by soothing them down in a supported and loving way (no cry-it-out for periods of more than 5 minutes at a time) * Communicate child’s changing behavior, eating, and sleeping habits * Help prepare and store child’s meals and snacks for the week * Serve breakfast for both girls in the morning and help me with the morning routine * Manage the laundry for the girls * Drop off and occasionally pick up 4yo at preschool Preferred Qualifications: - Safe driver with no negative record - Speaks Portuguese (is a plus) - Knows how to cook easy staple meals (is a plus) About us: We love spending time with our girls, cooking, hiking, and being active!
