About this nanny job

Our family is looking for a part time care giver for our infant son starting in March 2026. Care would take place in our home. Core schedule: Tuesday/Thursday 7:30am-11:30am. Dad may be home sleeping after swing shift. Schedule may change depending on our work schedules, a more final schedule will be available closer to March. About us: - Located in Lakewood WA - We have 2 well behaved, indoor cats. - Willing to provide snacks/drinks of choice within reason. We want you to feel welcome in our home. - Strive for open communication and expectations. - Have several streaming services you are welcome to use on our TV. We ask that baby isn’t placed in front of TV for entertainment and that content is appropriate for a work environment. - We have a range of interests including baking, reading, Magic the Gathering, camping/hiking etc. - We have a fully fenced backyard and patio you are welcome to use on nice days with baby. About You - Willing to take constructive feedback. - Able to communicate your needs clearly and effectively. - Able to physically lift 15-20 lb infant safely. (He’s a big boy) - Change cloth diapers, we will provide instruction if you haven’t used them before. No extra processing required just change and place into diaper pail. - Warm and prepare bottles for baby every 2-3 hours or as needed. Follow safe handling of formula, breastmilk and leftover milk from feedings. - Engage in play with baby including tummy time, using provided toys, and talking to baby. - Up to date on important vaccines like TDAP, Covid and flu. - Wash and/or sanitize hands often. Sanitizer provided in home. - Light house keeping (like dishes, bottle washing etc) NOT required but is appreciated. If you’d like to offer additional cleaning services we can discuss additional costs and frequency.
