We’re a family with an 8-month-old baby looking for an extra set of caring, reliable hands on Friday nights. Sometimes we’ll be home catching up on things, and other times we may step out for a date night. Either way, we want someone we trust who’s great with babies and comfortable helping around the house in between childcare tasks. What We’re Looking For (Mother’s Helper–style support): We’re inspired by “whole-home” helper services that combine childcare with light household support. Schedule: Regular: Fridays, 6:00–10:00 p.m., starting Friday Dec 5th (ongoing) No care needed: December 12 and December 26 (we’ll be out of town) (Optional): Thursday Dec 11th and Tuesday December 16th Typical tasks would include a mix of: Childcare - Playing, reading, and engaging with our baby in a warm, responsive way - Diaper changes and basic baby care - Helping with feeding (bottles and/or solids, as appropriate) - Bedtime routine help (pajamas, book, soothing to sleep, monitoring while baby sleeps) Light Household Help -Tidying up common areas and the nursery/play space - Loading/unloading the dishwasher and clearing dishes from the evening - Light kitchen reset (wiping counters, quick tidy) - Folding/putting away baby laundry as time allows - General “end of the week reset” to help the house feel calm and organized We don’t expect deep cleaning—just thoughtful help keeping things neat and manageable while caring for the baby. Ideal Candidate: - Has experience with infants/babies (comfortable with bedtime and soothing) - Kind, patient, and proactive—sees what needs to be done and jumps in - Reliable and punctual for recurring Friday nights - Comfortable communicating with parents about baby’s evening, sleep, and any concerns - Spanish-speaking (bilingual English/Spanish) is a plus - Non-smoker - CPR/First Aid certified Details -Hours: Typically 4 hours per shift (6:00–10:00 p.m.) -Start date: Friday December 5th -Commitment: Prefer someone who can stay with us for at least a few months for Fridays -Rate: Open to discussing based on experience Please share: - A brief note about your experience with infants - Availability for Fridays 6:00–10:00 p.m. starting this Friday (with the understanding that we won’t need care on Dec 12 or Dec 26) - Whether you speak Spanish - How long you’d be available for this recurring Friday evening role We’re excited to find someone who can become a trusted part of our family’s weekly routine and help bring a bit more calm
