We're a family of four seeking an experienced, enthusiastic mother's helper to become an integral part of our household routine. Our family includes two working parents, an imaginative 5-year-old son who loves adventure, and our sweet newborn daughter (no newborn care required, as parents will always be home) About the Position: Monday - Friday, 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM (30 hours/week) $20-25/hour, commensurate with experience Location: Alexandria, VA 22311 What You'll Do: We need someone who can seamlessly blend household support with engaging childcare. Your day might include: Light housekeeping: Vacuuming, wiping surfaces, organizing toys, putting away laundry, and loading/unloading the dishwasher (our cleaning service handles deep cleans every two weeks!) Kitchen support: Preparing simple, healthy meals and snacks for the family Laundry: Managing the children's clothing and linens Active play: Leading outdoor adventures, arts and crafts projects, imaginative games, and other engaging activities with our 5-year-old after preschool No newborn care required – just helping maintain a smooth-running household You're Perfect for This Role If You: Have 5+ years of professional childcare experience Bring creative energy and genuine enthusiasm for playing with children Love the outdoors and aren't afraid to get messy with art projects Can juggle household tasks while keeping a child engaged and happy Have reliable transportation to Alexandria (22311) Are organized, proactive, and comfortable working independently What Makes Our Family Special: We value outdoor exploration, creative play, and imagination.
