About this nanny job

I am looking to hire a nursery attendant or 2 for Sand Point Community United Methodist Church. We are an inclusive and affirming church community. Additional hours may be available for special events, to be discussed as needed. Compensation Starting pay: $25/hour Paid training provided (Safe Sanctuary training, approx. 1 hour) Responsibilities At the beginning of the role, you may be asked to be with the elementary children until our nursery attendees are more regular. Welcome new families and assist visitors with completing a registration form Provide a safe, caring, and calm environment for infants through Pre-K children Lead Storytime with a short book (selected by the Ministry Director) Guide children through a simple craft activity (materials and instructions provided) Facilitate snack time and free play Ensure children are released only to approved parents/guardians Maintain a clean and tidy space after children are picked up, clean up may include doing children’s dishes, wiping tables down, putting craft/art supplies away. Requirements Must pass a background check (required) Completion of Safe Sanctuary training (provided and paid for by the church) Currently or able to be CPR/First Aid Certified
