We are seeking a warm, energetic, and engaging part-time caretaker to become a trusted, fun-loving presence in the lives of our two children, ages 5 and 7. The ideal candidate genuinely enjoys interacting with kids and is excited to spend their afternoons actively playing, exploring, and creating! Role Overview This position is perfect for someone who is enthusiastic and ready to jump into action. Your primary focus will be to provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment during the crucial after-school hours. Active engagement and play are essential—we are looking for a caretaker who is happy to participate in games, backyard sports, dance parties, and creative projects. Key Responsibilities 🚗 School Pick-Up: Safely pick up the children from their two separate schools. 🤸 Active Engagement: Initiate and participate in fun, energetic activities. This includes indoor and outdoor play, sports, art, reading, and imaginary games. 🍎 Snack & Homework Support: Prepare simple, healthy snacks and provide light supervision/assistance for any homework assignments. 🛡️ Safety & Supervision: Ensure the children's safety and well-being at all times. 🧹 Light Tidying: Tidy up play areas and clean up after snacks/meals. Details About Our Kids Child Age/Grade Personality & Interests Caregiver Style Match 5 (TK) Spirited, active, and very engaging with adults. Loves high-energy play. Thrives with a high-energy, fun, engaging, but firm adult who can set clear boundaries. 7 (1st Grade) Loves both playing together and having quiet alone time. Enjoys dancing, drawing, coloring, and reading. Appreciates a caregiver who can transition between active games and quiet, creative activities. Export to Sheets Position Requirements Schedule: 3-5 days per week (flexibility can be discussed). Hours: 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM (4 hours per day). Experience: Prior experience caring for young children (ages 4-8). Driving: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required for school pick-ups. Vibe: Must be energetic, positive, responsible, punctual, and highly reliable. References: Excellent references from previous childcare roles. Compensation Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
