Hi, I'm Sarah with Allies for Allies, an approved UrbanSitter partner, and we’re helping a family in Mill Valley who is seeking a caring, reliable, and patient female caregiver and companion to support their adult daughter who lives in her own apartment. This rewarding position blends companionship with caregiving: • Share activities and conversations that brighten her day • Support her participation in an active, fulfilling lifestyle • Provide personal care assistance including meal support, dressing, toileting, showers • Drive her to dances, swimming, movies in her wheelchair-accessible van • Uses a power chair and although technically nonverbal has a deep desire to communicate and gets her point across with words, word approximations, signs, gestures and when all else fails....play charades! If you are a GREAT communicator, connect heart to heart with others, are intuitive and interested in working afternoons/evenings we'd love to hear from you. Experience is helpful but not necessary. OT, PT, nursing students welcome to apply. No lifting involved but the caregiver must have good balance and core strength which will be important to assist with transfers, walking, showering.
