About this nanny job

Se habla español. Sitter for an 11-year-old boy on the autistic spectrum. His autism is relatively mild, but he also has behaviors that make him difficult to manage at times. Sometimes he perseverates on things he wants and, if he doesn't get them (which often happens), he can become disregulated which includes yelling and cursing. When he's not disregulated, he's intelligent and sweet, but requires supervision. The best plan is to get him out and doing stuff. He resists too much walking, so good options are pottery, beach, museums, etc. You need to make sure he gets fed, which could include getting food from a restaurant or simple meal prep. We will cover expenses for meals, activities, parking, mileage, etc. He has a sister who will normally not require babysitting. We have a small, friendly dog. Required: experience with ASD kids experience dealing with behavioral issues
