Start Date: February 2, 2026 Duration: 6-Month Contract (Potential for renewal) Location: Costa Mesa / Huntington Beach Area Schedule: Monday – Friday, 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM (25 hours/week guaranteed) Compensation & Benefits: - Pay: $28/hr (W2 Payroll). - Guaranteed Hours: We guarantee payment for 25 hours/week ($700/week gross), even if we release you early. - Benefits: 5 Days Paid Time Off (PTO) + Paid Major Holidays. - Mileage: Reimbursement for job-related driving (daycare pickup). About the Role: We are looking for a nurturing, patient nanny for our 18-month-old daughter. We value open communication and a partnership approach. The Child: She is affectionate, active, and deeply curious. She is very independent (loves washing her own hands, eating herself). She thrives with a Montessori-aligned caregiver who "coaches" rather than "fixes." The Vibe: We are a screen-free household for the child and expect the same during working hours. We are a pet-free home (fish only). Responsibilities: - Transportation: Pick up from daycare and drive home safely (Must have own reliable vehicle; we provide car seat). - Routine: Manage the afternoon transition, snacks/dinner, and age-appropriate play (outdoor climbing, reading, crafts). - Household: Light tidying related to the child only (toy cleanup, washing child’s dishes). No general housekeeping. Requirements: - Clean background check. - Clean driving record and a reliable vehicle for pickup. - 3 Professional References. - CPR/First Aid certified. - Non-smoker. Hiring Process (Important Dates): We are looking for the perfect fit and have a specific process: - Paid Working Interview (Los Angeles): A 4-hour paid session ($28/hr) in LA (our current location) on a date of your choice after Jan 7th. - Paid Shadowing/Trial (Orange County): A 5-day trial period from Jan 26 – Jan 30 in Costa Mesa/HB. You will practice the daycare pickup while I drive along to ensure comfort with the routine. - Official Start: Feb 2, 2026.Nanny job details
