Hi!  We are looking for PT help 4 days a week for 2 boys, ages 4 and nearly 8.  They are fun and energetic!  Our older son is autistic. He's very kind and verbal, but not very conversational.  It will take a little time to get used to his language and needs.  He's just happy to be around the fun!  He likes music, books, letters and numbers and interactive play (running around, etc).  Our younger son loves to play with sitters.  He is very excited to do arts and crafts, make believe play, build marble runs, and play with cars.   The position will require someone to pick our younger son up from Pre-K at 2:30 and walk or bus him home. The walk is 20-25 minutes. Then, receive our older son from his bus at 3/3:15 (at our home).  Then, snacks and play!   We respect people who work with our family and want them to enjoy being with our kids.  We had a FT nanny for over 2 years and helped her find her next job.  She is still part of our family.  It is important to us that we are all happy! Hours: Mon-Thurs, 2:30-6, sometimes until 7 with notice. We can discuss more hours if you're willing to do some organizing and light housework to start earlier in the day.  Ideal candidate: loving, patient, attentive, fun, energetic. Must be able to walk a stroller from school.  My 20-25 min walk isn't a slow stroll. Cleanup after play activities done with the boys.  Happy to make snacks and proactively create little activities. Depending on timing, make an easy dinner for the boys.  Very responsible, safety is a priority.  Special needs experience is not required but may be helpful.  Not on your phone during work hours - connection with our boys is also important.   Timing: phone interview in Dec.  Paid trial afternoon in very early Jan.  Start in Jan.  This will be a position for a min of 1 year, ideally 2.   Pay: based on experience.  Please indicate rates in your response so we don't waste time if it's not something we can manage.  We look forward to hearing from you!
