Hello! I’m looking for a calm, emotionally attuned sitter to support my 31-month-old daughter during a two-week stay in NY. We’ll be arriving after long travel and multiple time-zone changes, so I’m prioritizing nervous-system support and continuity, not high-energy entertainment. Schedule (approximate & somewhat flexible): • Morning / daytime hours, typically 11 AM or 12 PM start - Some are afternoons • 4-5 hours/day, most days (A couple will be 6) • Ideally every day over a ten day period • Dates include Christmas and New Year’s, so holiday availability is a plus This mirrors our normal routine at home, where my daughter has a dedicated morning block with one caregiver. ⸻ What the job looks like: • Calm, steady presence in the morning and early afternoon • Reading, quiet play, and gentle engagement - Outings. Walks or playground. - Stroller to nap. • Supporting snack/lunch and hydration • Helping my daughter stay regulated through transitions • Light tidying related to the child only - Bath time some days I’ll often be home working nearby during this time. ⸻ What I’m looking for: • Strong toddler experience (ages 2–3) • Emotionally attuned and comfortable naming feelings and supporting transitions • Calm, reliable, and communicative • CPR certified (or willing to discuss safety practices) • Non-smoker • Comfortable working during the holiday period This is a great fit for someone who enjoys quiet connection, reading, and predictable routines.
