About this babysitting job

We are seeking an experienced, professional nanny to provide long-term, occasional weekend support for our 2-year-old child just outside of Philadelphia. The position is for weekends, typically from 3:00 to 9:00 PM, with some flexibility depending on family needs. A valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and a reliable, insured car are required only for occasional daycare pick-ups or drop-offs as needed; transportation for general outings will not be a regular expectation. Our child is a bright, silly, and curious 2-year-old who loves to explore and learn through play. He also has sensory needs and an expressive speech delay, and benefits from the use of visual cards and a timer to support transitions and routines. We are looking for someone who is patient, attentive, and experienced in supporting toddlers who thrive with structure while also appreciating their unique strengths and personality. The nanny’s primary responsibilities will be providing safe, engaging childcare in our home. Meals will be prepared by the parent in advance, so food responsibilities will be limited to serving or reheating. A bedtime routine may occasionally be needed if we return after our child’s bedtime. Qualified applicants must be CPR and First Aid certified, have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of professional nanny or childcare experience, and be able to provide strong, recent references. Because safety is a priority, we are looking for someone who is a nonsmoker, up to date on vaccinations (including COVID, flu, and Tdap), and confident in caring for a toddler with sensory needs. Previous experience supporting children with sensory sensitivities or communication delays is strongly preferred. Compensation is $20 to $25 per hour depending on experience. We value professionalism, reliability, and clear communication, and we are seeking to build a long-term relationship with a caregiver who can support our family on weekends with consistency and care.
