Hello! I’m looking for a reliable, caring sitter for a one-time job when I go into labor. The care would be for 5 children (ages 23 months, 4, 7, 9, and 13). Hours could range from just a few to potentially up to 12 (though that’s unlikely). We will not be staying overnight—this will be for the duration of the birth only, and we’ll be home the same day. Location & Availability: • Must live within 10–15 minutes of 19133 • Must have reliable transportation • Must be available on short notice since labor timing is unpredictable • Due date is November 20th, so care is most likely needed that week Details: • Children: 5 (ages 23 months, 4, 7, 9, and 13) • Responsibilities: General supervision, light meal prep/snacks, keeping kids engaged and safe • Pet: We have a dog who will be crated most of the time. The children usually handle her bathroom breaks and feeding, but you must be comfortable around dogs. Trial Run: Before the big day, we’d like to schedule a short, paid trial babysitting session while we step out. This helps ensure a good fit and gives everyone a chance to get comfortable. What I’m Looking For: • Responsible, patient, and comfortable caring for multiple children at once • Flexible and reliable with short-notice calls • Previous childcare experience preferred This is a great fit for someone who enjoys active, family-oriented settings and can step in to help during an important day for our family. Just want to emphasize that the hours and date aren’t set as I am due Nov 20th but the birth could happen anytime that week. We do not stay at the birth center for longer than a few hours. We just need someone to watch the children while we are there.
