About this babysitting job
Hello! We are looking for a friendly person to hand out candy at our house on the evening of Halloween (Friday, October 31st). Glen Park is a busy neighborhood for trick-or-treating, and in order to take our own kids out, we need an extra set of hands to answer the door. So this is not a childcare job directly, but it does involve interacting with a lot of children, and we've found great people to help with this job the last couple of years! This job would involve sitting at our front door and giving out candy for several hours. The right person for this job is calm, friendly and can keep their social energy up over the course of the evening. If you're willing to wear a costume -- something warm, because the night sometimes gets chilly -- that's a bonus. A few things to know: We'll have suggestions for streets to park on, to avoid having to drive down a street full of people. We have a friendly dog, though the job doesn't require any interaction with him. And, for this job, it will be a good idea to eat dinner beforehand!
