ABOUT OUR FAMILY We’re a warm, thoughtful family looking for a live-in nanny who wants to become a trusted, steady presence in our home. We have two children: a 2-month-old newborn and a neurodivergent 12-year-old. This role is primarily focused on loving, attentive newborn care so that mom and dad can return to work with peace of mind. A bit about us: • Miranda runs a springboard and platform diving non-profit. • Zack ran a yoga studio and teahouse for many years. We’re looking for someone who is emotionally grounded, dependable, and genuinely enjoys being part of a family rhythm while also respecting privacy and boundaries. If you’re nurturing, organized, and confident with infants, we’d love to meet you. THE ROLE: PRIMARY FOCUS ON NEWBORN CARE Your main responsibility will be caring for our newborn with warmth, patience, and excellent judgment. NEWBORN CARE (PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY) • Full infant care: diapering, bottle prep/feeding, soothing, burping, naps, sleep routines • Age-appropriate play and developmental support (tummy time, books, sensory play, outdoor walks) • Keeping baby areas clean and organized: bottles, pump parts as applicable, nursery tidiness, baby laundry • Tracking basics as needed (feeds, naps, diapers) and communicating clearly with parents • Supporting a calm, consistent routine and adapting as baby grows • Following safe sleep and safety best practices at all times FAMILY SUPPORT (SECONDARY, LIGHT BUT HELPFUL) • Simple family cooking and meal prep (especially baby-related and household basics) • Light cleaning and tidying with an emphasis on child-related spaces (kitchen reset, toy areas, baby spaces) • Helping keep the home running smoothly: restocking baby supplies, organizing, occasional errands SUPPORT FOR OUR 12-YEAR-OLD (OCCASIONAL) • Occasional driving to/from extracurricular activities • Supportive presence and basic supervision when needed (we’ll train you on our child’s needs and routines) WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR MUST-HAVES • Significant infant experience (newborn experience strongly preferred) • CPR + First Aid certified (or willing to renew immediately) • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record • Strong safety instincts and comfort following safe sleep guidelines • Reliable, consistent, punctual, and proactive • Clear communication and a calm, steady temperament • Comfortable in a home with a child who has special needs (we will guide you; patience matters most)
