About this nanny job

We are seeking a warm, reliable, and proactive Nanny/Family Assistant to care for our two boys (ages 8 &10) and help manage the day-to-day household needs of our busy family. This position requires someone who is proactive, organized, excellent at time management, and loves working with children, while also being comfortable handling household and administrative tasks. Ideal candidates will enjoy being active with children, spending time outdoors, and finding ways to be helpful to the family. Key Responsibilities: Childcare: • School pick-up (driving required) and transit to activities • Supervise homework and school projects • Plan and engage in age-appropriate activities, coordinate play dates and outings • Prepare snacks and lunches for children • Manage daily routines (afterschool, evening, etc.) • Handle occasional sick days, school closures and preference for flexible/additional summer hours 
Family Assistant Duties: • Light housekeeping (e.g., tidying common areas, children’s laundry, loading/unloading dishwasher) • Family laundry • Grocery shopping and running errands as needed • Family calendar coordination • Organizing children’s belongings, school supplies, and extracurricular gear • Assistance with intermittent tasks such as: travel packing or household organization projects 
Qualifications: • Minimum 3 years of experience with school-aged children • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record • Excellent references from prior clients • Non-smoker • Comfortable with a sweet 30 lb dog, who has slightly poor manners (jumping). Prefer someone willing to walk her but not required. • Strong communication and time-management skills • Ability to speak english and communicate in writing fluently • Ability to multitask and work independently Benefits: • Paid vacation, holiday and sick pay • Use of family car during work hours Hours: • We guarantee 30 hours per week. *We are open to candidates who prefer 25 hours also. • Required to be available for kids’ schedule: ◦ Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday: 2-6 pm ◦ Wednesdays 11:30- 6 pm • The remainder of the hours can be by arriving earlier on certain days for family assistant tasks and preference for a date night weekly, which would extend end time to 8 pm.
