My wife, Richa, and I are moving back to Brooklyn in a few weeks with our daughter Kavya. It seems like she's right in the age range you've worked with---she just turned 1 in December--and we would be really excited to see her grow with you for the next several years. She's been in daycare thus far, but we were hoping that some individual attention might help her develop language and motor skills. Some details: Start Date: February to March 2026 Schedule: Monday– Friday, 7:30/8:00 am to 6:00/6:30 pm Child: Sweet 1-year-old daughter (12/17 was her birthday!) About Us We’re first-time parents, working full‑time in Manhattan and Brooklyn Heights, seeking a loving, experienced nanny to join our cozy home. We value warmth, creativity, and consistent care, and we are hoping for someone who can cultivate our daughter’s unique self! Your Role & Responsibilities - Caring for our daughter- feeding, diapering, bathing and dressing. - Sleep routine: She will likely be down to 1 afternoon nap by 14 months - Weaning & meal prep: Supporting weaning, preparing healthy, homemade baby meals; prepping weekend baby food - Stimulation & development: Engaging with gentle play, age-appropriate sensory activities, reading, singing - Socialization: Taking her to stroller walks, playdates, and baby classes - Cleanliness: Washing and sterilizing her sippy cups and toys; tidying baby’s spaces; light housekeeping during nap times (dishes, wiping surfaces) - Baby Laundry: maintaining clean clothes for her - Communication: Keeping a daily journal of naps, feeds, moods, milestones; friendly updates for us What We’re Looking For -Minimum 2 + years of experience with children -CPR + Infant First Aid certified -Patient, observant, affectionate and grounded in infant development -Disciplined and professional; Proactive, organized, discreet, and reliable -Enthusiastic about engaging with a baby seeing her early milestones -Comfortable prepping family food and light home cleaning tasks while the baby sleeps (baby is first priority, of course) -Easy commute to NYC (our place is in Dumbo just above the York Street stop (F) and a 7 minute walk from High Street (A/C) stop) -Pay range $23-$26 per hour, commensurate with experience
